For hiking fans
Would you like to discover the Dolomites on foot? Then the Karerhof is the right place for you. Numerous hiking routes lead directly past the farm. So Just put on your hiking boots and off you go. Take a deep breath, marvel at the sight of Latemar and Rosengarten and enjoy the being immersed in the nature. Not to forget, the famous Karersee lake is only a good kilometre away from us and can be reached with an easy hike.
Fun in the snow
40 km of perfectly groomed slopes, made accessible by ultra-modern lifts: Welcome to the Carezza ski area. It reaches up to 2,300 metres above sea level and guarantees sunny skiing fun for every generation and every level of difficulty. It can be reached in 10 minutes by free ski bus. The well-known ski area of Obereggen is only 20 minutes drive away, as is the nearest entrance to the world-famous Sella Ronda.
Bike Paradise
Explore the Dolomite passes on a racing bike, cycle from alpine pasture to alpine pasture on an e-bike or tour around the Latemar on a mountain bike? Welcome to the Eggental valley, an Eldorado for bikers. By the way: You can recharge the batteries of your e-bikes in our lockable bike depot. And if you don’t have an e-bike or mountain bike with you, we’ll be happy to lend you one of ours for a small fee.
Winter hiking & tobogganing fun
The toboggan: a common means of transport in winter in our area. Numerous alpine pastures and huts in the area are ideal for a winter hike followed by a speedy descent. Psst: We will gladly lend you one of our toboggans for your excursion.

If you prefer to move vertically, you will also find yourself in a dream destination here: Countless via ferratas and climbing routes lead up the walls of “our” magnificent mountain groups.
Bozen – cultural centre of South Tyrol
Bozen, with its cultural offerings, its large old town and numerous museums, is much more than Ötzi the ice-man and Waltherplatz. Do you fancy a visit to the famous fruit market, a stroll through the medieval arcades with their shops or a visit to the Museum of Modern Art? You will find all this and more in this beautiful city, less than half an hour’s drive from the Karerhof.
