Latemar Circuit – Clockwise by mountain bike
- Duration: 4:50 h
- Distance: 40 km
The classic tour in Val d’Ega – the Latemar Circuit – offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Dolomites and is a dream tour for those who wish to get very close to Mount Latemar on their mountain bike.
Clockwise, the Latemar Massif can easily be surrounded during a full day tour – and without many uphill stages – also by mountain bike beginners and families.
Starting from the farm Karerhof, follow the paved road to the Carezza Pass. From here, the tour leads downward into the Val di Fassa to Moena on trail no. 519. Along the river Aviso, the bike path takes you out of the valley to the valley station of the cable car “Predazzo-Gardonè”. Step into the gondola and travel up to 1650m. From the Baita Gardonè, you continue with a chairlift up to the Feudo Pass at 2200m. Now there’s a slightly challenging downhill part on trail no. 504 to the mountain pastures Ganischg and Zischg. From Reiterjoch, continue along the paved road across the mountain pastures Epircher and Laner Alm to Obereggen and enjoy the scenic highlights. On trail no. 9 continue downhill to Bewallerhof, on the trails Tempelweg no. 8 and no. 25 towards Stadelalm and from there back to the farm Karerhof.
With the Mountain Bike Card, on one day you may use the cable car Predazzo and the chairlift Gardonè-Passo Feudo for one free ride. Thus, mountain bikers can enjoy the Latemar Circuit with one day pass without having to buy three single tickets.
Rates 2014: € 15.00 for adults, € 7.50 for children 8-16 years, children up to 8 years free. (Transport of mountain bikes is included.)
